Chapathi

Ingredients:
Whole Wheat Flour - 2 1/2 Cups
Ghee/Oil - 1 tsp.
Salt - 1 tsp.
Curd/Buttermilk - 1 tbsp.
Lukewarm Water - As Required (to knead dough).

Method:

Mix whole wheat flour,salt,ghee/oil,curd and adequate amount of lukewarm water
to knead smooth dough.

Leave it for 2 hours in a vessel well covered on all sides.

Be very careful for no air must be allowed inside.

Make equal sized balls, smear them with some dry flour and roll them out on
a rolling board.

Heat the griddle and put the chapathi on it.

Moderately roast both sides of the chapathi on the griddle.

Chapathi is now ready to be served.

Serve it with channa masala, matar paneer masala, chicken curry, vegetable
kurma (of your choice).

Note:

Using a tablespoon of curd/buttermilk while making the dough,results/ends in soft chapathis.

Ghee/oil is added only for flavor and not for the chapathi to be soft.

You can also use warm milk instead of using lukewarm water to knead the dough.

While kneading the dough you can add some fresh methi/fenugreek leaves
(finely chopped) and a tsp. of jeera seeds/cumin seeds for extra flavor.
