Ingredients:
White Radish - 1 (Medium/Large)
Onion - 1
Red Chillies - 2
Garlic Cloves - 2
Tamarind - Small Marble Size (adjust as per taste)
Salt - To Taste
Oil - 1 tsp.
Seasoning Ingredients:
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp.
Curry Leaves - Few
Method:
Grate the white radish and set it aside.
Chop the onion finely and set it aside.
Heat a pan with a tsp. of oil and add onion,red chillies,garlic cloves and
tamarind and fry for few mins.Remove from the fire and keep it aside.
In the same pan,add the grated radish and a pinch of salt fry till the raw smell
goes away.Remove from the fire.Let it cool for 15 to 20 mins.
Grind all the above with enough salt and water as required into a coarse paste.
Leave it aside.Heat another pan with some oil and add the mustard seeds
and let it crack.
Then add urad dal and curry leaves and fry for few seconds.
Add the seasoning to the ground paste and serve it with idli or chapathi or plain rice
with some ghee.
