Mulaga Podi

Ingredients:
Urad Dal - 1 Cup
Whole Red Chillies - 8
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp.
Curry Leaves - 1 Stalk
Salt - 1 tsp.
Oil - 1 tsp.

Method:

Heat a tsp. of  oil in a pan and roast all the ingredients until golden
brown.Take care that it doesn't get burnt.

Cool it and powder it in a food processor.

Store it in an air-tight container for future use.

Excellent sidedish for idli and dosa with sesame oil or gingelly oil.
