Ginger Chutney

Ingredients:
Ginger - 1/4 Cup
Whole Red Chillies - 7 (adjust as per ur taste)
Curry Leaves - Few
Tamarind - Small Amla/Gooseberry Size
Salt - To Taste
Oil - 2 tbsp.

Seasoning Ingredients:
Sesame/Gingelly Oil - 1 tbsp.
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp.
Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp.
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp.

Method:

Peel the skin off the ginger,chop it into small pieces and set it
aside.

Heat a pan with 2 tbsp. of oil and add the chopped ginger,whole
red chillies,few curry leaves,tamarind and enough salt.

Saute it till the raw smell of the ginger leaves.
Let it cool and grind it with some water.

Heat a small pan with a tbsp. of sesame oil or gingelly oil and when
its hot,add the mustard seeds and let it splutter.

Then add urad dal and asafoetida and fry till the dal changes its color.

Add the tempered ingredients to the chutney.

Serve it with idli or dosa.
